We recognize that our success is the result of the quality people that we bring to our corporate customers. So, we thought you might enjoy learning about some of our fine folks, which will be published periodically in our Employee Spotlight.

Brandywine Technology Jake FosterRecently, we caught up with Jake Foster, who is currently enjoying a long-term assignment on site at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. Here is what we learned about Jake:

Q: So, you are currently working at the Borgata in Atlantic City. That sounds pretty glamorous. How did you end up there?

A: Brandywine Technology contacted me out of the blue with the opportunity. My on-boarding experience was very smooth. Joel and Kim of Brandywine Technology made the transition easy and enjoyable. I was welcomed onto the IT team right out of the gate, and become a contributing team member almost immediately. I have been here for about 2 years, now, and I am very happy.

Q: How did you learn of Brandywine Technology to begin with?

A: Strangely enough, I was referred to Brandywine Technology by a friend of a friend. I never met them, but I am extremely grateful for the introduction! I learned quickly that with Brandywine Technology, excellence is baked in from the top down.

Q: Can you tell me about your experience once you learned of a possible opening at the Borgata?

A: It all happened pretty quickly. I first participated in a series of phone meetings to learn more of the opportunity, and share my background. Then, within a week, I had met with Brandywine Technology in person and was on-site at Borgata helping them address their IT challenges. Brandywine Technology has finesse in what they do… since the initial “vetting” was so thorough, meeting the management team of the Borgata was more of a formality than an interview.

Q: What do you like about your current position?

A: No two days are the same! I love the variety, flexibility, and exposure to different aspects of the business. It is fun serving as an on-site “troubleshooter”.

Q: Any advice you would give to people looking for their next professional challenge?

A: Don’t be afraid to look outside of your comfort zone. You never know what you might find.

Q What’s next for you?

A: With the merger with MGM, we are facing an interesting time. I am excited to contribute to the team and keep all systems running smoothly during this transition. There is never a dull moment!
